When Little Mynah’s new friend Karim complains that the birds in the tree are too noisy, she sets out with him to understand what noisy means and opens Karim’s ears and heart to the different sounds of everyday life in the neighbourhood.

Underlying this new adventure is a message about friendship, understanding and tolerance. This is the third multilingual picture book in a series that introduces preschoolers and early primary kids to the diverse languages and cultures of Singapore.

The book includes a glossary (and a QR code that takes readers to an audio recording) of everyday words and phrases used in the story in English, Mandarin, Malay and Tamil. The QR code also links readers to free games and activities so that the fun and learning keeps going.
